3 Reasons Why You Will Love Your Veneers
Versatile
Veneers work for a wide range of dental imperfections such as chips, cracks, discoloration, misalignment, and more. Depending on your needs, we can treat a single tooth or all of your most visible teeth. We listen to your unique goals and customize your procedure to achieve the results you desire.
Fast
If you have an upcoming event you want to look your best for, veneers might be an excellent solution. Compared to other forms of cosmetic dentistry, veneer treatment is fast and easy. The procedure usually takes two office visits and can be completed in just a few weeks.
Natural-Looking
Our veneers consist of high-grade porcelain that is made to look indistinguishable from tooth enamel. Your dentist will carefully design your veneers to blend in with the size, shape, and color of surrounding natural teeth. When we finish with treatment, no one will be able to tell your smile is anything other than natural.

In all my decades of going to the dentist, no one compares to Dr Mike Farrar and the rest of the staff at Elite Dental Care. Super friendly and helpful and always careful and considerate while working on you. Best in the midsouth!!!!
View on GoogleI was extremely satisfied with my experience. I got a quick appointment, the entire staff was very pleasant and professional, the hygienist was terrific, and the dentist explained very well what treatment I needed. I got two appointments for that in a timely fashion as well.

Am I A Good Candidate for Treatment?
Oral Health
It is important to have good oral health before undergoing cosmetic dentistry. During your consultation, we will examine your smile and check for signs of periodontal disease and tooth decay. If needed, we will schedule restorative treatments to get your oral health in optimal condition.
Enamel Thickness
Before we place a veneer, we must remove a small layer of enamel. Thin or eroded enamel may disqualify you as a veneers candidate. If this is your case, we may recommend an alternative procedure like dental crowns that cap the entire tooth and protect the structure.
Misalignment
While dental veneers can correct minor misalignment, they are not the best choice for enhancing the appearance of severely crooked teeth. Depending on the degree of your misalignment, you may be better suited for orthodontic work, which can also correct the position of your bite.
Goals
Veneers are considered a permanent treatment. While they eventually need to be replaced after about a decade, they require permanent alteration of your natural tooth structure, so the tooth will always require some kind of restoration. If you are looking for something more temporary, or just want an affordable way to determine if you would eventually like to receive veneers, we usually recommend dental bonding.

Porcelain Veneers FAQ
How much do veneers cost?
Since veneer treatment is completely customized, it is difficult to provide a cost estimate without first seeing you for a consultation. The total cost will depend on several factors, like the number of teeth you wish to treat, additional preparatory treatments, and sedation. While insurance plans do not cover cosmetic procedures, our practice does accept financing through CareCredit® to help make veneers more affordable.
Is the procedure painful?
Most patients find dental veneers treatment to be virtually painless. However, we understand that everyone has different levels of sensitivity and anxiety when it comes to dental treatment. To ensure your comfort, we can offer sedation dentistry to induce a state of deep relaxation before the procedure.
How do I maintain my porcelain veneers?
You should care for your porcelain veneers in many of the same ways you care for your natural teeth. Brush your teeth twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and floss at least once a day. Avoid biting on anything abnormally hard, like ice cubes or toffee, which can potentially crack or chip the porcelain shells.
