Tooth Extraction
Picture-perfect teeth are every person’s dream. Unfortunately, conditions like decay, trauma, and disease can damage teeth beyond repair.
In these cases, sometimes the best solution for your smile is a tooth extraction.
Elite Dental Care provides virtually painless tooth extractions at our offices in Jackson, Germantown, Dyersberg, Trenton, and Eads, TN.
What Is Tooth Extraction?
Patients Love Us Throughout West Tennessee
Had a tooth that needed to be removed. They saw me fast and the only thing I felt was pressure. The tooth was gone in a matter of minutes, still can’t feel anything on that side of my mouth 2 hours later. Will be going back when I start on getting implants to replace the rest of my bad teeth.

If a tooth extraction is necessary, it is better to know and act now. Leaving a severely decayed and damaged tooth in your mouth makes you vulnerable to infection. Fixing the problem as soon as possible helps avoid more severe and costly dental issues down the road, and moves you towards a healthier and happier self.
If you are suffering from gum swelling, tooth pain, or other oral issues, schedule a consultation to take the first step back to oral health. Additionally, if you are considering dental implants or dentures, tooth extraction may be recommended for remaining damaged teeth.
Our offices are conveniently located across West Tennessee, in Jackson, Germantown, Dyersberg, Trenton, and Eads. To schedule a consultation, or just to ask us any questions that may be on your mind, you can give us a call or fill out our contact form.

Tooth Extraction Timeline
With tooth extraction, you lose a little and gain a lot!
Aftercare
Control Swelling
Swelling is to be expected following tooth extraction. Applying ice or a cold compress to your cheek during the first day will help manage it.
Relax for a Few Days
A half a week of rest is typically recommended to allow a seamless recovery. Most of your regular activities can be resumed during this time.
Eat Soft Foods
Sticking to soft foods like smoothies, yogurt, and pudding will prevent needless pain and avoid disturbing the blood clot.
Don't Use Straws
Suction with the mouth can dislodge the blood clot. Avoid using a straw during the healing process.
Don't Smoke
Smoking after an extraction delays and harms the healing process. It can also prematurely loosen the clot.
Conditions That Impact Dental Care
Your health and happiness are our primary concerns. To ensure tooth extractions and other dental work will be successful, we review every patient's medical history for issues that may cause complications, such as:
