Dental Implants

Missing teeth can affect how you eat, speak, smile, and feel about yourself. They can also have consequences for your oral health.

The dentists at Elite Dental Care in Trenton, TN, can give you a brand-new smile with dental implants and implant-supported restorations.

Your custom implant-supported crown, bridge, or denture can transform the look, function, and health of your smile.

What Are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a titanium rod that embeds in the jawbone to replace the root of a tooth after tooth loss or extraction. The implant stimulates the jaw tissue to prevent atrophy, which can cause your natural teeth to shift and your facial appearance to change. An implant post will fuse with the jawbone over time in a process called osseointegration.

Titanium implant posts can support crowns, bridges, or dentures to treat all degrees of tooth loss. Your restorations will be made of the highest-quality materials, including zirconia, porcelain, and IPS e.max®. Our Tennessee dentists prefer these materials for their incredible durability and a lifelike appearance. We can match your restorations to the precise shade of your natural teeth.

The Unbeatable Benefits Of Dental Implants

Restore Your Smile

Missing teeth can make you feel insecure about your smile. Restorations supported by implants are the closest thing to natural teeth. Their lifelike look means that they'll blend in flawlessly with the rest of your teeth, giving you the confidence to share your beautiful smile in any situation.

Improve Your Dental Function

Whether you're missing one tooth or an entire row, it can make chewing a challenge and limit your diet. Because implants fuse with your jawbone, the restorations they support are incredibly stable and offer you complete freedom to eat with comfort and ease.

Enjoy Lasting Results

All of our restorations are designed for long-term use. With good dental hygiene, your crown, bridge, or denture can remain strong and beautiful for around 15 years before they need replacement. Your durable titanium implant posts can last for upwards of 40 years.

"Best Dental Care I Have Ever Had." Great Reviews From Our Patients

Best dental care I have ever had! Very Friendly. The prices are upfront and they make it as easy as possible to get the care you need while dealing with insurance and the out of pocket costs. Care credit, ( a great card to have); is also accepted for payments. I have never had to wait long for service and have never felt rushed. My questions are always answered and procedures are thoroughly explained. Plus this is the first time I have had conscious sedation for dental was great and painless! (This option was never offered through the other Dental Care places I have tried.) Just give them a try and see for yourself!

I have been driving from Middle Tennessee Nashville/Murfreesboro area for well over 12 years visiting Elite Dental Care, Dr. Mark Harper and his awesome dental team. It works for me. The inconvenience of being able to find affordable dental sedation in the Middle TN area has been very challenging. I trust Dr. Harper and his staff to take care of me and my fear of the process. I wish he was closer; however, it's worth the drive to know I am in good hands with someone that understands my fears and does great dental work in a modern office setting with all the latest equipment and technology. Thank you all for the great care you provide. Janice

Your Dental Implant Options

Implant-Supported Crowns

Implant-Supported Crowns

If you are missing one tooth, a natural-looking crown supported by a dental implant can reliably fill the gap in your smile. Your crown and implant can make eating much easier and help prevent your existing teeth from shifting, which could require orthodontic work to fix.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini Dental Implants

A mini implant has a smaller diameter than a traditional dental implant. These implants can be used even if you have experienced some jaw deterioration and cannot undergo bone grafting due to osteoporosis, age, or other factors. Your dentist will assess the condition of your jawbone during your consultation to determine if mini dental implants are right for you.

Implant-Supported Bridge

Implant-Supported Bridges

An implant-supported bridge can be used to fill the gap left by one tooth or several teeth in a row. Your bridge will consist of a prosthetic tooth in between implant-supported crowns to fill in for your missing tooth or teeth. This solution offers greater stability than a removable partial denture and can be cleaned just like your natural teeth.

Implant-Supported Denture

Implant-Supported Dentures

An implant-supported denture can replace all the teeth along your upper or lower jaw. A series of implant posts will be strategically placed to support a full denture that transforms the look, feel, and function of your bite.

All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 Dental Implants

Our dentists can also perform the All-on-4® implant technique at our Trenton, TN, office or any of our other Elite Dental Care locations. This method uses just four implant posts to secure a lifelike denture and can offer you a quicker recovery compared to traditional full-arch implant solutions.

Two dental implants

This cutting-edge implant technique can give you a full arch of permanent replacement teeth in just one appointment. Your dentist will place four to six implant posts along your jaw and secure a stable denture for nearly immediate results.

The Dental Implant Timeline

Preparatory Work

Jaw tissue deteriorates without stimulation from tooth roots. You may need some preparatory dental care, like a bone graft or periodontal treatment before receiving implants. This will depend on your overall dental health and how long you have been missing a tooth.

Implant Placement

This procedure can usually be completed with just local anesthesia, but you can choose to receive sedation as well. Your dentist will create small incisions in your gums and place the dental implant in your jaw.

It takes around three to six months for the implant to completely fuse with your jaw tissue.

Abutment Placement

Once your healing period is complete, return to our Trenton, TN, practice or one of our other four Elite Dental Care locations in Western Tennessee so your dentist can attach an abutment to the implant. This piece connects the implant and restoration. It typically takes another few weeks to heal after this procedure.

Restoration Placement

You'll now be ready to receive your custom restoration. Your dentist will attach your crown, bridge, or denture to the abutment, and you'll be free to leave our office to enjoy your brand-new smile.
